During the Summer of 2017, our team spent five intensive weeks shooting 20 brand new stock footage Collections, which almost DOUBLES the current Collections on ActionVFX! These new Collections include Explosions Vol. 2, Water FX, Flamethrowers, Dust, Snow, Fire, and more.
Most of these new products will be released in 2018, but today we are very excited to announce our newest addition to the ActionVFX.com library, The Water FX Series!
Hey RodyPolis fans!
Rodolphe and Luke here to catch you guys up on what is happening with ActionVFX today.
Let us just start by saying again, THANK YOU for your crazy amount of support and feedback that has helped us craft this project the way that you want it.
From day one, we have ran our business with you guys in mind. After all, without you, we wouldn’t get to do what we love to do!
It hasn’t been an easy road for us. We have had week long shoots in the freezing cold, days of editing and combing through footage, and months of planning out how we were going to actually make this dream a reality. But if it were an easy task, it would have already been done, right?
With that being said, we introduce to you for the very first time...
Hey there! This is Rodolphe Pierre-Louis writing. This post is going to be our biggest ActionVFX update since the Kickstarter. I'll do my best to spare you a lot of incomprehensible corporate jargon, and just talk to you like a normal person. I refuse to be that kind of CEO!
What have we been up to?
Quite a bit, actually. After raising 298% of our goal on Kickstarter we realized 2 things. First, that you guys really believe in us and our vision of creating better effects, and second, that we'd be really screwed if we only raised $20,000!
WHAT ARE WE MAKING?
We're creating a new stock footage website dedicated to nothing but Action Movie Stock Effects. That means no lightleaks, timelapses, or shots of girls touching tall grass. ActionVFX.com (what it'll be called) will be the place for those looking to blow stuff up and burn things down!
We're partnering up with CreativeDojo.net to bring you the Ink FX Bundle Contest! Contestants will be tasked with creating a 10-15 second animation using our free Ink FX assets. There are no specific guidelines to what the animation should look like, so you're free (and encouraged) to get creative!
Ignace Aleya is back with a brand new Ink tutorial! You'll learn how to use ink mattes to create this Ink Reveal effect in After Effects. While AE is used for this tutorial, these same techniques also apply to other software such as HitFilm. Download the sample files below if you don't have Ink FX Studio yet.
In this tutorial, Ignace Aleya from Tolerated Cinematics shows how to design a super cool intro in After Effects using our latest product Ink FX Flow. Download the sample file below so you can follow along if you don't yet own Ink FX Flow.
Last January we released Ink FX Studio to great success. For a while we had been hoping to create more Motion Graphics oriented packages, and Ink FX Studio was our first outing. Our plan was never to stop at just one, though, so we're very happy to now announce Ink FX Flow!
I'm so glad to finally be doing a post like this! Last month I asked you to send me the videos you've made using RodyPolis products, and you guys delivered! Below are some of my favorites of the bunch. I hope you guys keep sending us your work so that "Community Spotlights" can become a regular monthly occurrence.
Hello there! Almost 4 years ago, in Summer 2011, I started RodyPolis.com in my bedroom while I attended college. I've always been a big dreamer, but I can honestly say at the time I never expected this little website to come this far so fast.
